Christmas at CSB Group is about giving

The Christmas season has brought along with it a number of social activities that gathered the team to celebrate the special period. Such activities included the annual Christmas cocktail party, annual staff awards, Christmas breakfast and other social activities.

However, Christmas is mostly about giving and CSB Group makes sure that charitable activities also form part of our festive traditions. Through various fundraising activities, CSB directors and staff join forces to make a difference. On a yearly basis the directors request that they do not receive gifts but instead staff are free to make a monetary donation. As per tradition, this year the directors have tripled the amount collected and made donations to three charitable foundations namely The Malta Hospice Movement, Dar Merhba Bik Foundation and The Sovereign Military Order of Malta.

It is customary at CSB to exchange gifts during a Secret Santa Activity. This year this was replaced with fundraising in aid of Children’s Dreams, a project with the sole mission of making Christmas wishes come true for children facing social and financial difficulty. In addition, staff collected food in aid of Foodbank Lifeline Foundation Malta who support individuals and families in difficulties and at risk of suffering hunger.

In 2020 CSB Group will remain committed towards Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and to integrate social and environmental responsibility into the various aspects of its business.
